Default Horse Smock

I thought that I may as well make a topic for this craziness, since we really need a place to discuss all the awesome that happens in Homestuck all the time.

And in case you have somehow never heard of it, here is a link: http://www.mspaintadventures.com/

I gave up on reading Problem Sleuth so I caught up with this instead.

Is good.

I skipped a huge part of problem sleuth where it got retarded, but then caught up right before the final battle. I swear, shit just got stupid at one point.

I like how long DMK took in PS. Makes me curious how long the finale of Homestuck will be. I know Hussie is aiming for 04/13/2010 to finish, then have epilogue afterward, but yeah.

Also I'm wondering who we will follow tomorrow, since all of the characters could lead to potential awesome. And I really wanna see Jade's strife, with the fact her weapon is a gun.

I wish he would focus on one for a longer time, as opposed to dancing around with all of them. It's not confusing, but it just seems like you aren't getting feel for these characters as much as you did with John.

I love this comic so much. The wait times between updates, especially flash ones, are so totally worth it.

Also, while he said that he projects an ending of 4/13/10, he did not expect PS to last more than 6 months and that went an entire year. He said that it's not likely to end on that date, but rather have it be a pivotal day in the story. Either way, we can only expect more awesomeness from him in the future.

I agree PS did get a little stupid at one point or another, but it did end up being relevant in the end and a vital part of the story nontheless.

...Strife?
Spoiler for spoilers:
I definitely wasn't expecting Grandpa Harley to be.. You know, DEAD.

Anyone who thinks PS ever got "stupid" completely missed the point

I like the theme for Jade's strife.

Also BV:

Spoiler for strife:
Hussie has confirmed that Grandpa Harley is dead, and is like Nannaquin, with the whole remains in front of the fire place. Though it has lead to speculation that Bec is her actual guardian in some way, and that Jade might be sort of insane.

Spoiler for Hussie Quote:

"But it was absurd to speculate this was just a mannequin. It doesn't make any sense, except in the context of being in denial that this character is in fact dead.

It's hard to render a stuffed dead grandpa in such a way that removes any shadow of doubt he'd dead, without putting a sign up that says "HE'S DEAD". Aside from the plaque he's standing on, the stitch on the head is the lone visual clue. Without that stitch, I guarantee there are a lot of people saying "WHY ISN'T GRANDPA MOVING??? FIGHT BACK!!!"

You just have to use some common sense and piece it together. He is the parallel of John's grandmother. He's not her guardian. That allusion was always a red herring.

Some people were already on to this well in advance, speculating that he would probably die at some point. I don't think anyone speculated he was already dead though."

Slightly depressing in some ways

It's incredibly depressing. She treats him like he's still alive. Talking about his "lectures" and "intense encounters". She's in denial, or insane. Either way, I'm pretty bummed out now.

Oh and to make it even more depressing:

All of Homestuck is part of an insane delusion of hers; an adventure she has imagined in her brain, along with people she has made up, it is the only thing keeping this little girl going in this life of hers.

This could also depressingly explain the similarities in appearance between her and John.

I made myself sad.

Actually I read that theory on the MS Paint Adventures forum.

Also, Jade knows he's dead. Thank god.
