I wish I knew.

At this point my mind's pretty much made up, but...ehh, you missed the whole big angst thing about my parents not listening to me. Basically my dad made me apply to this college I had no interest in, and now that I've been accepted he wants us to go look at it, even though it's like 10 or 11 hours away. I couldn't get out of it. Henceforth from tomorrow till Sunday I won't have much access to a computer, if at all. (I have to miss school Friday -- I would've missed it anyway due to a band field trip that I'd really rather be going on...)

If my mind's still made up by Saturday, though, well, that's the end of it. (I HOPE.) Three days, and I can finally relax. (I HOPE.)

I got a new game for the trip. A Link to the Past / Four Swords. I'm looking forward to playing it. And, something strange...for some reason, it always takes a couple tries before my DS realizes there's a Gameboy game inserted. Is this a universal problem for the DS, or is it just my DS, or do you think it's the cartridges? o_O

(I swear, if I get sick on this college visit...that'll be 4 out of 6 times...and I'll be convinced that the Fates of College have some kind of personal vendetta against me.)

So, yeah, band. Since I won't be there for the band trip the responsibility for the solos falls on the second chair, who is the one that will be first chair next year (some of you may know her as the friend that's "a whole lot cuter" than me). She's talented. Really talented. Better than me. I think there are only two reasons I got ahead of her -- seniority, and confidence. Anyway, she's definitely capable...but afraid. She has trouble counting (that seems to be a problem for several flutes, actually...). They've got the talent, they're just afraid. And so they've been relying on me. I think I've said that before. Well, now I know how previous seniors felt when the underclassmen begged them not to leave. "You can always fail finals and stay for another year!!" Half of you feels guilty and half of you is going "HahahahahahahahaNO."

Inferno: See, you guys are fine!
HM: No...no, we're not.
JC: We're not.
HM: We're gonna die.

Is your DS the old grey one? If so then yeah, I have the same exact problem. Happens sometimes with DS games too.

Naw, I've got a pink DS Lite.

Well, I'm back, as you've already surmised. And it really was just the Humoring-My-Dad-Trip. If anything, the Accepted Students Day at my top choice further reinforced my decision. And it feels great to have a destination. AND I DIDN'T GET SICK!!!

I've decided when I'm an adult, I want to live in Virginia.

April 18 is listed on the Official Registration of Holidays Made Up by Inferno as Blue Rose Day. Happy belated Blue Rose Day!

On the way home we were listening to the Broadway station and Avenue Q came on. I was laughing and my parents were dumbfounded. If only they had played "If You Were Gay", then I could've sang along...

I played Link to the Past like a bandit on this trip. In 4 days, I got the three pendants and I'm in the first dungeon of the Dark World. I was weirded out when I turned into a bunny. Took me a while to figure out how to get to the tower, and I ended up getting there completely accidentally. It's interesting seeing a lot of the stuff from Link's Awakening in LttP. (Even though LttP was made first...and Koholint Island technically doesn't exist...)

I technically only have a month left of school. Thank the heavens. I can't wait for graduation. I plan on decorating my hat. All the cool kids decorate their hats. *nod*

Aaaaand...this Saturday Blbry and I (and hopefully Marth, and maybe Link) are going shopping for prom dresses!! I feel like such a girl. Pictures? Hopefully. Link doesn't want to go to Prom. Quite honestly, I'm going because 1) it's tradition and I'm powerless against tradition, and 2) PROM DRESS. And sorta-kinda 3) Laughing at drunken idiots. We might have a Not-Getting-Pregnant Afterparty.

30 nosebleeds. This post is way too long. Time to end it.

Prom dresses. Would sure be interested to hear how that craziness goes -- some girls obsess over it to no end, and others just go, "Fuck it" and wear something outrageous.

Interestingly enough I'm somewhere in the middle. The dress, I'm obsessing over. Makeup and hair and nails and stuff like that, I could care less. I always thought it was ridiculous how people would take a whole day just to get ready for prom.

This morning, my alarm did not wake me up. I wouldn't have woken up if not for a random nosebleed that came out of nowhere. Official total: 31. If I can go for three weeks without a nosebleed, I'll consider the season over.

I maintain that these forums need a nosebleed smiley. And that Daryan hair one.

I was generally in a good mood all day due to the fact that I actually have somewhere to go for the next four years. Double standards, however, continue to annoy the snot out of me (He can be a total jerk and no one does anything about it; and then when I fire back I get told I'm the nasty one. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH) and I've been squeezing homework in whenever I can. There's never a happy medium with this school, you either have nothing or they cram it all on you at once.

Glazing > throwing.

Once again my theory that teachers are absolutely oblivious has been reinforced. I seriously cannot wait to graduate. I wonder if professors are any different.

Had our last "real" band concert. It was fairly awesome.

I don't know why, but lately I've been feeling like...I just want to hug my friends. Nonstop. All the time. And I don't because it's a bit weird. I don't know, it's almost like I'm feeling lonely or something. But it's strange...I see them and I just want to cling to them. Maybe it's because we're graduating soon? Something subconscious? Eh.

Blbry was sick today. Marth had a college visit. Man, it was WEIRD without the two of them around. That prom dress trip might not happen yet.

Yesterday in Gov we had to work on a crossword puzzle for extra credit (depending on if you were the first, second or third group to finish) and I ended up being paired with that awesome guy I was talking about earlier. We finished first.

MH is awesome and likes to annoy an annoying table during lunchtime but it makes me fear for my life.

The Pottery Curse was dormant for a while, but it's revived itself with a vengeance and is causing me to break all the lids I try to make. Once again it seems I'll be rushing to finish on time and the end results will most likely not be aesthetically pleasing. What else is new.

And now for something completely different. This is what I spent my Friday night doing.

Based on the descriptions in the book. Yes, Enjy is supposed to be that bishieful.

EDIT: Marth made this and subsequently made my night. And possibly all of tomorrow.

BEWARE. BEWARE. RICE, THIS IS YOUR WARNING.

SCROLL PAAAAAAAAAST THE PRETTY COLORS, RICE. SCROLL PAST THEM TILL YOU GET TO WORDS.

VIRGO, ENJOY.

Oh, silly me, I forgot to mention it was a secret.

Double standard? No. Aryll knew it was a secret. This person didn't. I thought about this over the weekend (before she tagged me here) and thought "Hey, maybe I should tell her to keep quiet. I'll tell her on Monday."

WE HAVEN'T HAD A QUOTE OF THE DAY IN FOREVER! JUBILATIONS!!!
"...and all these rolls of flab that probably count as their own cosplayers..."
-Marth, about Sailor Bubba

My Internet died on me yesterday, and it took me fifteen minutes to realize that the picture she tagged me in was on my wall. Which many people have access to, including some family members. OH NOES!!! And I couldn't get back on, and I couldn't fix the Internet because the box is in the basement and the alarm was on by that point, and when I called Blbry to ask her to hack into my account, she couldn't get in. I was practically having a nervous breakdown last night. The most we could do was play it off with sarcastic comments, and so we did. ("Lulz, you love your Beautiful Yaoi, don't you Kristin" "Oh yeah, every day after I get my daily allotment of gay porn I go and get pregnant off my 3 boyfriends")
I was able to remove it today, though, and I talked with Fey and she took off the tag. So, yeah. No problems. Everything works out in the end! =D

We played Ultimate Frisbee in gym today, and they split it up by gender. All but 6 of the girls chose to walk around the field the whole time instead. So it was 6 girls, myself included, and a bunch of guys getting instructions on how to split up, and the 5 girls said "We don't want to split up!" and joined the others in walking. I was the only girl -- THE ONLY GIRL -- playing Ultimate Frisbee. It was awesome. I love when stuff like that happens.

Blbry came over to my house after school to work on this project (last-minute, of course) and we spent...pretty much till 7 : 30 working on it. Amazingly we didn't get...too off-task. She started playing Apollo Justice and has become a total Hobo Phoenix fangirl, and it's so cute. We were being fangirls at lunch and poor Turtle had to sit there and endure it |D Right now she's on the third case and I had to get her to actually listen to the music, and she was at that part where they're arguing over the missed cue, and then Daryan turns his head and she's like "HOLY CRAP!!!!" and we laughed for a good 3 minutes, possibly more.

I have never met a single person who hasn't responded like that when he first turns his head. It's almost as funny as when guys who think Bill Kaulitz is a "hot chick" find out he's a dude.

Also, personally I think you're overreacting to the whole near yaoi-unveiling a little bit, but as long as you're back in your comfort zone, then that's the important par.

QUOTE OF THE YESTERDAY
Turtle: ...And you'd probably find that real Hobo Phoenix is probably a lot less appealing and probably a lot more smelly than the cartoon--
Blbry: HOBO PHOENIX ISN'T SMELLY!!
Turtle: He's a HOBO!!
Blbry: He's a CLEAN hobo, he just has a little scruff!!

Only 20 more days of classes? Then I'm out of there? For good? Seriously?! Hot dang, as long as I can keep my grades up for 20 more days I'm golden.

They implemented a new system this year, probably to prevent senioritis. If you take the AP Exam and keep your grade above an 80 in any AP courses you take, you can be exempt from the final...and in normal classes, if you keep your grade above a 95 you can be exempt from the final. I fully expect that to be the case for English and Psychology...I mean my grades aren't phenomenal, but they've never dropped below 80, and I'm taking both AP tests...and Government is ridiculously easy so I don't see that as a problem. Statistics? Might have to work a bit more.

I am in a new Statistics group with the guy I had a crush on in kindergarten (and first grade, and second grade, and third grade, etc, etc...) and a fakebake and a...Iunno, girl sports type? GIHACOIK is pretty decent, I don't foresee any problems there, but fakebakes all tend to be pretty similar, personality-wise, which is a Very Bad Thing. GST seems all right, but you never know. Strategy: keep my mouth shut unless absolutely necessary. I don't want to risk anything. Girls be nasty, man. Nasty.

Stayed after school today to help with drum major auditions. Technically it shouldn't matter to me because I'm GRADUATING IN A MONTH, but I want to remain a "part" of the band for as long as I can. Plus it's fun, voting on drum majors. I may be slightly biased, but Shannonigans won for me. Hands down. There were three others, and as far as Fey and I are concerned, they didn't even come close. Ideally Shannonigans should be next year's assistant DM, and if bias reigns supreme...I'm'a have to call...SHANNONIGANS.

QUOTE OF THE YESTERDAY
Blbry: It's a SAUSAGE!!
Inferno: I prefer to think of it as a torpedo--
Blbry: It's a SAUSAGE, and it wIiIiIiG-gLlLlLeS!!

Day: Made.

There is nothing about this picture I don't love. Check out the doves. Eating Snackoos and tugging on the judge's beard. Zak and Valant. Hobo Phoenix. Lamiroir. Trucy being adorable and 'Polly being all like "Wheeee, I'm pointing at NOTHING!!". Klavier desperately trying to out-sex his older brother. I mean look at Kristoph. He's the sexiest mofo in that group and he KNOWS it. He's all lookin' at Klavi like "You will NEVER surpass me, pathetic mortal."

We got our yearbooks today holy crap. Man, who gets yearbooks for the YEARBOOKS?! We get them because our friends write stupid crap in them and then we can look at them later and LAUGH. Besides, half the time the information in the yearbooks is wrong anyway.

Swine Flu has become a joke at our school. It's gotten to the point now that people will touch each other and say "Now you have swine flu!!". It's the new MRSA. When we're not joking about it I'm kinda freaking out. We're all gonna die.

Whyyyyyyyyy are we still on this page

Oh. Pretty picture. Yay!

Today was so frustrating in so many ways. Let's begin with gym, shall we? I heard from about a million people that we were doing golf. So I went to the locker room and changed, and then I couldn't find anyone, and I learned we didn't HAVE to change because we were watching a MOVIE about golf. So I went and unchanged, and then I waltzed into the health room late, which was packed so full there were people sitting on the FLOOR, and I sat down someplace randomly and then moved because I had ended up plopping down by some Look-At-Me-I'm-White-But-I'm-Trying-So-Hard-To-Be-Black-And-That-Makes-Me-Cool girls. And they were annoying. So I moved. But man oh MAN oh man, they couldn't be more annoying than the movie if they TRIED.

It was this guy, this regular guy who was somehow portrayed as a midget. Maybe they buried his legs or something. And he had the MOST ANNOYING VOICE. It was like Coach Z's voice if you took out the fact that he's Coach Z. It was a how-to golf movie, and they turned on the laugh track every two seconds...AND NOTHING WAS FUNNY. Nothing about it was funny AT ALL. He's golfing--oh, look, he missed! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Let's try again. Oh, look, he missed again! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Look, his caddy picked up the wrong club! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh no, the ball landed in the water! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Now it's in a sand trap! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Now the guy's dug himself into a trench because he keeps missing the ball! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. And so on and so forth.

Then there was tonight, after my brother's school play. My mom doesn't seem to understand the concept of time. Blah blah blah blah blah okay kids let's go! OH HI blah blah blah blah blah *15 minutes later* Okay kids let's go! .....Blah blah blah blah blah blah *half an hour later* "Mom I'm going to run around the school" Blah blah blah blah blah "Where is he" "He's running around the school" Blah blah blah blah blah "I'm back...Oh wait I forgot my stuff!" Blah blah blah blah blah blah "Hey mom, he's back." Okay! Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah "We're closing down..." And by that point there's no one left except the token kid-whose-parent-isn't-there-yet and so then we have to stay and make sure they don't get mugged or whatever and GARGLE-BLARGLE.

I try to be patient. But my patience has a limit. And I try to be mature, but my mature requests to leave don't seem to go through, and then if I say something I get told that I'm not patient and I have to learn to be patient and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAA

*hrrrrrrrrrrrrrfffff*

Okay. I'm done now.

Psych class was interesting. Teacher taped a note on our foreheads saying something, but we couldn't know what it was, and we went around the room talking to people and, based on their reactions, try to figure out what it said. One of my friends was "I don't like you," another was "Interrupt me", etc. I figured out what mine was pretty quick.

Agree With Everything I Say Girl: .....That's awkward. *avoids*
Interrupt Me Girl: ....I'm honored, but....
I'm A Famous Movie Star Guy: ....Well HEEEEYYY, sweetie!! *puts arm around shoulders* So, you like hamburgers?

Yeah, my forehead said "I have a crush on you." I'm-A-Famous-Movie-Star-Guy was just FAKE-hitting on me, of course, but all the same it set off that Nobody Ever Hits On Me Response in my brain, which is basically a mixture of "AAAAAGH WHATDOIDO WHATDOIDO WHATDOIDO" and "Oh em gee boy contact YAY!!" The external symptoms are manifested as freezing in place and laughing awkwardly.

I'm-A-Famous-Movie-Star-Guy was just FAKE-hitting on me, of course, but all the same it set off that Nobody Ever Hits On Me Response in my brain, which is basically a mixture of "AAAAAGH WHATDOIDO WHATDOIDO WHATDOIDO" and "Oh em gee boy contact YAY!!" The external symptoms are manifested as freezing in place and laughing awkwardly.
That's kinda funny.

QUOTES OF THE DAY
"Well...maybe he's the pimp king of the Care Bears."
-Marth

Marth: That looks like a bucket of ears...
Inferno: A bucket of Klaviers?! O_O

Man oh man do I ever love mishearings.

Marth and I went PROM DRESS shopping today, and it didn't take us long since there wasn't much selection at this point. We both found stuff we liked, though, and the great news is it was all marked down since it's late in the season. I got my dress for $40!! It's pink and sparkly and ridiculously girly. Pictures hopefully maybe.

Also bought these two shirts that were on clearance. One's blue and has the whole rose-sword "True Love" motif going on, and the other is pink and says "BANANAS!" in action-y font. It was so random I just HAD to get it.

Bought the Edgeworth manga too. And let me tell you. When it's not torturing the guy in several hundred-odd ways, it's......wait, that's pretty much all it is. And angst. And there's a lot of bears in it. Yeah, it's a good buy.
