It's such an awkward looking game. Animations (and to some extent the models) remind me of SF4 with the sluggishness and stiffness of MK9 all set on set-pieces from SFxT. It just don't look at it and feel like it's a Killer Instinct title.

Okay, when I heard about this on the Skype chat I wasn't sure if it was THAT Killer Instinct. Neat!

Sabrewulf doesn't even have armored robot arms....

I gotta say Sabrewulf's design isn't even close to the original.

I don't even care if classic costumes are dlc. I'd rather use those than this.

I don't think he had robot arms in the original Killer Instinct.

And he does have one it seems.

They had the perfect game to bring back their fans. One game everyone has been asking for. And they blew it. This is like, a phenomenal failure on Microsoft's business with the game industry. The only people I can see buying this are people who just have way too much money and want to spend it on something. That and, I guess, super die hard Microsoft fans. I mean, this idea is making Capcom and EA look good! What the hell is going on here?

Nobody is buying it. It's free-to-play. That's why they're doing it.

Impressions from the alpha-build (arcade cabinet). Burrito got it right with his opinion, but, seems like the trailer was dumbed down in the presentation while it looks amazing in person.

So, whoever is near that bar or lives in LA, go play it and tell your impressions.

And Microsoft pulling out an old Capcom move? People saw it coming.

I would also like to point out that this game is made by the beautiful people who gave us Silent Hill: Homecoming.

That's never a good sign.

Also I don't see the whole big deal about this whole F2P business, sure only having Jago is stupid, but paying a the fee for the character you want while getting the base game free sounds like a good deal to me.

And the full cast will be a discounted bundle.

Depends on price of the characters.

I didn't see any videos uploaded of it yet, but earlier on Gamespot they had the game on, and they seemed to have changed up what was initially announced about the whole F2P thing? The people working on KI there said that the demo of the game will have Jago available with everything, with the option to buy more characters that you want or something to that effect? Along with there being a Full game option (only the characters on launch that are complete) with dlc and "seasonal" characters you have to purchase yourself?

Edit: Found it, here's the link http://www.gamespot.com/e3/killer-instinct-6409830/

It's towards the end of the video, so I'll put what they say word for word here I guess, "You can buy the full version of the game, and all the content that is going to be released for our season of download content at a price point. There will be different versions that we are going to announce as well with bonus content. After that, underneath is the demo itself with jago with all the single player modes, all the online content, for free, and if you choose to, then you can selectively choose what characters you want to buy and what features you want with it.

The main problem with this is that as time passes, prices are going to spike up in fractions, so, the real cost of the game will be overvalued when a full bundle of the game comes up.

It's really about choices, but Microsoft is playing the same game that Capcom did with SFxT (on the disc DLC that should have been "free").

So, "misunderstanding" with the information, game is going to have multiple versions at launch, etc.

so, yup:

A bit overhyped but seems great.

I don't know if it's a must-buy or buy-it-later game yet.

This is really a nice feature that few games have used

the music itself sounds amazing and it really does help with the inmersion, sadly, this i one feature that will get overlooked (or overheard?) because of all the action that goes on screen and the rest of the sounds as well, excepting the ultra combos.

Speaking of which, here are some of the musical ultra's

the Glacius' ons sounds a bit like a piano musical floor..

I'd so hyped if they release a Killer Cuts (digital or physical copies).
