This game is boring and really isn't as fun as I thought it would be. The difficulty is mostly just an unfair advantage the enemy has and you're kinda as agile as a rock. I'm really disappointed and pretty glad I just borrowed it from a friend.
I still really like that ghost world thing, and being able to see a player's last moments being alive. Buuuuuuuut that's not really enough to make me like this average game at best.
I thought we were going to XG friday night. Mason and Tim want to go, and perhaps we could get matthew and zach?
I really enjoy fighting enemies that have some ... way to beat me, beyond me just being inept. Forces you to be clever, and gain some personal experience rather than just an arbitrary number. I mean, I'm half Carter's level and just as far as him.
*shrug* its why I like this game, and Monster Hunter.
Finally bought this game and even though I got to the Tower Knight and handed his metal plated ass to him, I think I messed up my Soldier's stats.
Think I'll just start anew again and go for something like Thief, and I think I'll take on Naf's advice with luck because some of the enemies are a bunch of cheating fucks and I should get something good out of kicking their ass.
So I bought this game and the guy at the counter told me to walk over to the nearby pawn shop and buy a bunch of cheap controller, then to paint a target on my wall and wail said controllers at the target when frusterated. Sounds awesome.

Flamelurker boss fight was ridiculously amazing. I'd honestly say the same thing to the Penetrator but he was just like the Dragon God, incredibly anti-climatic as well as an easy fight compared to the level that I had to go through to get to him.
Three red eyed knights? TAKE A DEEP HELPING OF MY FIRE SWORD.
Then I got invaded by some guy with the strangest top I've ever seen. In front of three black phantoms. The fight went on for about ten minutes and then I accidentally pulled in one of the phantoms and I had to deal with two targets.
Basically I switched over to the phantom to finish it off and he used some ridiculous area of effect spell and finished me off when I was knocked down.
Anybody still have this interested in pairing up for whatever? Servers won't be up forever and I want to make the most out of it and not remember the online just for having black phantoms popping up behind me and pretty much getting an instant kill.
I'm not even sure how the online works to begin with, to be honest. But if I can figure it out, let's avoid Valley of Defilement, eh? Swamp of poisonous gas and zombie babies is something that I'd like to go through last.
Difficulty is overrated. First run through is actually a lot easier than people love to complain about. It's game + where the actual difficulty is, since your armor and shield mean NOTHING and you will receive full damage with each strike.
What's your PSN? Maybe after you beat the tutorial, we can do some co-op.
Or I could be an asshole and try to invade you. But whatever, I'm making a new character for this.
Oh. By the way, don't ever use the souls of the bosses. Ever. They're very important for weapons and shit.
I should know, it made the game a nightmare when I didn't have certain items or spells to combat the invading black phantoms.
As for losing souls, never mind about them. Not dying is important, sure, but you will always get those souls back later on.
Also you get one chance, and only one, to get the souls you lost during the run you died in. So as long as you can touch it again, you can always get them every single time you die. But if you die while the souls are on the ground, they are gone permanently.
You should learn about world tendency.
In your menu is a thing that shows you the tendency in the worlds. White means easy and drops usually are healing items. You get this by not dying in your BODY FORM in any of the worlds, with the exception of the Nexus. Black means harder, but more souls and usually better items for drops. Obviously the world blackens when you die in body form during a run through a world.
Try to maintain a white tendency in World 2. It pays off.
Looks intense. Excited for it, but little information is currently available to my knowledge. Some shit about "the flame" going out, eternal darkness, some mark of the curse blah blah I dunno. Gameplay looks nearly the same and that's important to me. So! EXCITE
Oh, also. Perhaps as important as anything, it is not PS3 exclusive. It will be on the 360 as well.
