Hazama is silly as fuck. Relius and Valk feel really good and pretty much where they should be. Terumi is... interesting. I play so many characters that can do pretty much whatever they want, that playing him is a bit of a challenge, despite how simple minded he is. I also don't mash on supers enough, but that's just good habits from my scrubby Hazama days where I'd wake up Houtenjin all day.
Mush better than CT and CS based on the 95% I've done, and holy crap it's long, but the joke endings aren't nearly as good as CT or CS and too many are rehashed from CS. Also, some characters feel shoehorned into the story, mostly Litchi, Arakune and Carl, they don't really add anything at all.
New characters in the story, I like Bullet and Azreal, Amane is kinda creepy in a not so good way, and surprisingly I found myself liking Kagura a lot.
So, now that it's out of the way, I can start getting really into the multiplayer, and maybe I'll do trophy stuff too, they seem reasonable.
With all much of their focus placed on the recently released Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, some may be forgiven for forgetting about Arc System Work’s other fighting franchise, BlazBlue. Fans of that series can take heart, however, as some great news is coming courtesy of this week’s issue of Famitsu.
The magazine is reporting that a new console version of the game, called BlazBlue: Chronophantasma EXTEND, is being developed for PlayStation 3 as well as current-generation platforms PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This represents not only the series’ debut on the new consoles, but also its first appearance on a Microsoft platform since 2010’s BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND.
Recent arcade additions Celica A. Mercury and Lambda-11 will be playable in this new release, which will also feature additional story elements featuring Bullet, Kokonoe, and Kagura. Crossplay support will be available between PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
BlazBlue: Chronophantasma EXTEND is scheduled to land in Japan on April 23.
Man, I hope Blazblue gets a graphics upgrade at some point soon, like GGXrd, or something. I should be excited, this is one of my favorite series, but this is the fourth game and it looks and plays just like the first.
Oh well, I'll probably still get it, if only to continue (and potentially finish?) the story. I'm part of the problem I guess.
That's true I guess, it's just with it being a whole new generation, and Xrd's whole faux 2D art-style thing being so awesome, I was hoping for something similar. Maybe next game? Please do it ArcSys, please please please.
Speaking of hopes, I hope they add Nine and Jubei, because they're cool characters and I'm tired of all the hints and speculation. Also that this is the end of the current plotline because I don't know how they could stretch it out for anymore games.
