Howdy!

I'm not sure how the art threads here work. All boards seem to follow different sets of rules. Do you critique work? Are only compliments allowed? Are there standards I should abide by when critiquing or complimenting?

I don't know how to transition from what I just said.

Here are a bunch of drawings I did. They may range from different styles, but rest assured, they are mine.

"The Forbidden Fruit"
I've always liked this one. It's Green, holding the Master Ball.
Don't think too much about the title. It's just a pretentious last-minute thing.

Here's the companion piece...

"The Fall of Man"
It's Blue, with the skull of a Cubone at his feet.
Again, not much to look into, title-wise. Pretentious and last minute.

Currently working on a Star Wars animation project.
... Actually, "working on" is a pretty loose term, at this point. I plan to get around to it, once I have more resources.

Related piece...

A Padawan.
Yeah, I know. I need to work on the 3/4.

[/URL]
A piece I have, since, given up on. I saw an image of Spike Spiegel and Julia from Cowboy Bebop and I thought I'd draw a similar one with Spike and Faye Valentine. Turns out, I'm not very good with Photoshop.

I also do pixel art.

These were done with a limited palette. I've only posted 3, but I have all of them except the Pyro so far.

Them's pretty lousy rules. But I'm a lonely man who enjoys conversation, so... I'll take what I can get.

At first I thought the guy in the first drawing wasn't wearing any pants.
Neat stuff!

Haven, you're breaking the rules.

Also, you are the 4th person to tell me about the whole pants thing. I think maybe I'll add some wrinkles or something, it seems to be confusing people.

You can tell he's wearing pants because he has a fly, but they are entirely to tight. Still, shit is solid (which is a serious compliment and not just me saying it's alright). I enjoy it. Keep on keepin on dude!

My only complaint is that Blue is a girl, dammit!

Thankya.

And the characters don't follow any existing Pokemon establishments, you see. I thought about making Blue a girl, but some manga already MADE Blue a girl.

The Pokemon characters are a part of a project I am working on. If you are interested, I will indulge you, but... I'm trying to keep it on the DL.

I WILL tell you this much: I sorta modeled Blue on Tintin. You can tell, with the hair.

A totally new version of the "Fall of Man" piece. Much happier with the pose.

Freddy, thank you.

Inagi, it's easier than you think. You just gotta pick your lights and darks.

Waffle, I was actually thinking of giving him a beard. Not a full on beard, but... a beard.

Nintendo Themed Sentai

Crash Thrasher and his Sentai identity, Nintendude (... still workshopping the name).
Also, Franny Pak. She'll have a Sentai identity once I design it. She'll be called "Femme-Com".

Looks rad as shit. Just to put it out there, though, is that Sentai literally translates to "Squadron" or "Task Force" and are generally themed (which you obviously have one), generally sharing a common name. As an example, Shinkengers share the common name Shinken and then their color to denote themselves (Shinken Red, Shinken Blue, etc). Granted, this isn't always the case. There are a few exceptions such as Jetman where they go by their color and then their bird (Red Hawk, Black Condor, etc) or my personal favorite J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai where they're named by suit and then by face (Spade Ace, Dia Jack, etc). They are few and far between, however.

In the end it's obviously your call and I could never tell you how to do it. It looks rad as shit no matter what. I just figure if that can help you at all then I might as well. I know I've fathomed a few fictional teams myself because I'm a giant nerd and this is my crack.

I guess I'll have to design more dudes.

You could go the opposite route, however, and make them Riders instead as they're generally lone wolf characters. Even when there is more than one Kamen Rider in a series they aren't quite considered a team as much as they are considered two generally seperate heroes who cross paths and partner up and/or rival here and there.

The best way to think about it is like a superhero comic. Kamen Riders are your Batmans and Supermans of the tokusatsu world while Super Sentai are your Teen Titans and whatnot with themes.

e: Famicon Sentai Asobiranger would work, just to give you an idea of an actual name. Asobi would mean play or game in this instance.

I want something simple. I know there's a lot of potential double meanings and puns with Japanese, but I want it to be to the point.
