People keep drawing her horns wrong, but I think I like it. They were not supposed to crease like that, though I know that looks like how Krud drew them. I think that may be how her horns are now, though. It looks neat when people draw them up, then bent back.

Actually, they were supposed to be like a draenei's horns, just coming off the forehead like a tiefling. Like I said, though... I think I'm starting to like this more. This feels more right.

Kaze, you're going to get better than me if you don't stop. I haven't drawn in so long that you probably already have. Keep that motivation going, 'cause in my limited experience with drawing, staying motivated is likely going to be your single biggest hurdle. As long as you keep putting pencil to paper, and keep trying to improve, you will!

I will never stop. D:< I have goals I need to reach!

But thank you for the encouragement, it means a lot! I have fail-safes in place in case my motivation starts to lag. They haven't failed me yet.

YOU SHOULD PICK IT BACK UP YOURSELF.

I have a fail safe. If I don't draw, I never fail at it. Seems pretty safe to me.

Well, see, I have a tumblr which I've filled with the following:

Pictures that I admire from artists I admire.

Pictures that have certain artistic styles that I absolutely adore.

Tutorials for drawing a whole slew of different things, from heads, hands, and feet, to coloring, shading, and proportions.

Inspiring Quotes.

Quotes from Artists.

Tips from artists on how to keep your creativity flowing.

Really if I feel my motivation lagging, it only takes a solid minute or two of scrolling through that blog to get the engine revving again.

At the same time I know that if I give up, I won't get better. If I don't get better, I can't realize my goals. I've got a long way to go, and I've waited too long to start. Most importantly? I'm done making excuses for inaction and beating myself up over it later, not just in drawing but in every other aspect of my life.

I've got stories to tell, characters to bring to life, and universes to create. Every second I spend putting off practicing means that its going to take me that much longer to get to where I want to be, and I've screwed around long enough as is.

I ran across this on tumblr and I love it to death. Whenever I find myself about to enter this cycle:

I remember this image that was used as a reply to the above image:

And then I take it to heart. Everyone is different, though, we all have our own motivations for doing what we do. But I think a common, good place to start would be to remember why you started in the first place, rediscover whatever it was that pushed you as far as you've come, and then forge ahead with it.

You're going to run into that wall, everyone does, but its up to you to draw yourself through it. You can, you will, and you'll be better because of it.

That sounds great. Thanks for the inspiration advice. What sort of stories/characters/universes have you been putting thought to?

No it will not involve butts, Fenix.

Also the three, one is Horror, the other is near-future sci-fi, and the last one which Fortune belongs to involves a hybrid of witches and history and I don't know how to classify these things at all. I could give a general summary of each if you'd like me to, but that would be quite time consuming and you might have to wait a bit for me to type it out and get my thoughts in order for each story.

In the meantime, have a waist-up gift drawing of a certain girl wearing a sweater of her favorite pokemon.

I see issues with them. Either way! You know what you should do, Balto? Join the daily draw that Naff has going on over at Tumblr. BECAUSE I AM WHICH MEANS 31 DAYS OF DRAWING STUFF COME AT ME.
