Default Ask Raven Serpent a Question

Sounded like fun enough. Go ahead, poke it.

does being a copycat of a copycat make you feel you should come up with original ideas?

I would think this doesn't qualify as a question.

Addy why don't you ask questions?

How do people dare enjoy themselves with you policing what is "original" content around here?

I'm sorry, that was mean. But one could pretty easily argue that your "As me a question!" thread is not original in the slightest, either. I've done the same exact thing on other forums. Being a dick about it to another member who happened to see that it might be a fun thing is not really something that should be allowed!

Also your MMM thread is kind of a copycat of my thread, just the polar opposite. I think you even mentioned it in the thread opening.

I'm not policing anything, I asked a question.

No take backs. Actually if anything your "intervention" doomed the thread as it made it about your moral superiority instead of about Raven. I was asking a question which is what the thread is supposed to be for.

So you say I was being a dick, then you turn around and try to use the same argument on me. OH NO I FEEL SO ASHAMED I SHOULD CLOSE MY THREAD DOWN BECAUSE IF I CAN'T BE ORIGINAL I SHOULDN'T EVEN LIVE.

Spoiler for shh:
Maybe you need to do MMM to stop being so uptight

but it's not March!

Either way I really don't see the big deal in another thread being made and as a mod I don't think being a douche to another member for making a thread is a cool thing to do. He even said in the OP that it seemed fun, your question was not "what the thread was for."

I'm not trying to be "morally superior." I'm saying that I think it's a dick move? Sorry if that means the same thing I guess.

EDIT:
I feel pretty bad for even saying anything so if you do wanna continue this discussion please PM or IM it to me. Not happy with shitting on Raven's thread. I am legitimately sorry for pointing it out.

- Threads like these
- Original

Pick one

As long as it's fun, who cares, originality and forum threads are a rare combination these days anyways

Where did I say it was a big deal? You are the only one making a big deal out of anything.

You are grandstanding. I simply asked a question and you made it into way more than it is.

Technically I'm only a copycat since I figured this would be fun after the first thread was posted. It plays to my strength of answering questions, but not asking them.

It's from the film Pi. There is a similar scene in Tetsuo: The Iron Man.

I edit quite a few times after almost every post, so I'm fine with that.

Oh snap! I rarely see Addy so direct and assertive. It almost turns me on.

Question: Raven, does it turn you on?

At the moment, nothing turns me on. Like a light switch with a short in it.

What is a Raven Serpent anyway? Seems like quite an odd chimera idea.

I originally typoed that as Raven Derpent.

It was part of a code phrase related to a secret MUD organization that I was an officer in that was getting members of ours into high-ranking positions in the official organizations.

I just realized I never really answered this question.

No, but I have been fixing up an old bit of poetry I wrote years ago. Or Yeats ago, as my typos are pun experts now.

*golf clap* Well played, sir.

Another question: what's the stupidest thing you've ever done, that you'd be willing to share?

Probably either handling electricity and water while falling asleep, or running through a freshly cut bamboo forest. Probably lucky to get away with the shallow cuts on my chest that I did.

One would think you'd stop running after the first cut. But then, you're Raven.

It was all one cut. I fell chest first on a bamboo "stump". One moment, lots of cuts in a circle.

After reading Nami's response to whether she fits into any Texan stereotypes, I was genuinely curious. Can any of you (a bit of a reversal, yes) say I fit into any Southern Californian stereotypes?

You're nutty like a sundae sometimes. That's a SoCal stereotype, right?

I honestly wouldn't know. I think it'd be mostly hard to tell over an internet forums site.

I'd say that's more an Austin thing. Maybe Portland.
