Wow you got in early. Only about 15% of opt-ins are in so far.

Yeah, I know. I thought that was weird, too. Blizzard also invited me to BlizzCon last year, though. So maybe it's just that my account is on a list or something? I don't really know.

Not the best at this game, but I'm still enjoying it a lot. This was my best game thus far:

I don't know where I read it before but there was mention that those with running subscriptions to WoW have a higher chance of getting into the alpha/betas for their other products, but that may have changed by now as it was 2 years ago.

They could be anticipating that you'll talk about it to people? It seems the smart thing to give them to people most likely to spread the word about it. I know AngryJoe got one, and he's been streaming the hell out of that.

Though, I don't know that any pro League players have gotten any. Probably because it's another MOBA, and they're right in the middle of LCS. They wouldn't have time to stream or play it anyway.

I dunno, I think they're just ramping it up and giving it to anyone now. Johnny got an invite the other day.

I've heard the exact opposite for every beta Blizzard has ever done. As in, you know, you don't need a running subscription to anything they have to get in.

Not saying they did, but it would make sense though. It would be like a minor implied incentive to be playing WoW.

Inviting people to play Battle.net games when they haven't been is arguably a bigger incentive. Otherwise, they're just dipping into a pot of people they've already got playing their games.

Dogma asked for the heroes that are currently available in the game right now and their costs, so I figure I may as well post them here, too:

Diablo looks significantly beefier than I remember him.

Probably based on the Diablo 1 and 2 Diablo, who was very beefy.

Yeah, if you only know Diablo from Diablo III, you'd only be familiar with a Diablo in a female body. That was new.

This is what he looked like in the last game:

I like that I'm STILL unclear as to what Abathur does. Ever since I saw you could play him, it's been bugging me that I can't even remotely pin down what kind of skills he has.

At my sister's on a $2,000 IBuyPower PC, so I figured I'd look at this again for the first time in several months. They made it prettier. It looks great!

Man, this is so much fun. Why did I stop playing?

And Jesus Christ. There's still next to no one on the alpha. I have two people from my friends list who have access to it and I have like 150 people on that list total. Some crap like that.

It's no wonder I'm not hearing a lot of buzz about this game. No one is playing it because no one has it.

I feel like it's going to be huge when it officially releases. Not League of Legends huge, but still. Very big.

Yeah, I mean what you let me play I thought was pretty solid. I'm more likely to play that than Dota 2. I might enjoy it more than League because it might make me rage less. I doubt that part, but I'd probably enjoy it over Dota 2.

I've still run into cocksuckers playing it, but it's been nowhere near as bad, yeah. And there are less reasons to be a cocksucker. Also, I'm not 100% sure on this one, but I think there's no cross team talk. So you don't have teams mocking one another, either.
