So Hace and I started playing this, it's really really fun!
We played about 20 games earlier, and I'm trying to show him the ropes a little bit. If anyone else is interested let me know. You can only play 2 people at a time obv. We are running ZSNES Enhanced netplay version(1.42n/1.43).
You might need to forward some ports(7845), but at the moment we are playing over Hamachi because it seems to fix our personal connectivity problems, another benefit is that it keeps your ip address private.
The temporary server is TMNT Fanboys, just search for it once you have Hamachi installed there is no password. I should be hanging out in there with Hace. If you need further instructions let me know. Every fighting game fan on this forum deserves to give this game a shot.
Raph(starts up fast, recovers fast)
Mikey(slightly worse than raph but similar stats)
Arm(great recovery but is a charge move)
Leo(average recovery, good startup, does ridiculous amounts of stun for no reason)
useful sometimes, but come on they are ground fireballs
Don(has great recovery but bad startup, good for controlling space, but not actually hitting with it)
Chrome(very meh recovery and startup, but has startup invincibility, good to end strings in, sets up safer unblockables)
Wingnut(can combo after, but having to jump first, and it's bad recovery if done for most of the jump holds it back, wish you could do it after airdash)
Raph, Mikey, and Arm have legit fireball lockdown in the corner. With Leo, Don, Chrome you can always kind of jump out. Wingnuts corner lockdown requires you to get a knockdown to keep looping, which makes it weaker.
Oh Hace you were asking me once if those chrome sparks are unblockable, and vs. shredder sometimes they are. Under certain circumstances if you block an attack(or rarely get hit by it), then block an attack that is canceled into chrome spark, the spark is unblockable.
Also chromes unblockable off of lp throw works vs. arm, but it's 1 frame as opposed to a billion.
Playing Chrome vs. Hace's Leo makes me feel bad now, that matchup blows for Leo. His best bet is to try to trade fireballs with limbs, get a dizzy, then do a high stun combo post dizzy and try to land another stun off of the post combo mixup.
Wingnuts redizzy is so hard, after the first dizzy you have to throw a fireball, air dash behind it, and get deep enough to land the jumpin and the followups.
have to throw the fireball from a very specific range and height, can't air dash too quickly or your j.normal will whiff, there are random frames where the game does not allow you to air dash during.
His the difference between 90% damage and 100% damage is so freaking hard.
Also Hace we should play the Japanese version, chrome sucks. St.HK does no stun, he can't combo to sweep. He can still to unblockable dizzy, unblockable dizzy, but you have to hit the big boy combo of jab x4 cr.hp.
