Default Your "anytime" games!

I'm SURE you've all got at least one game that you can play over and over again, with little to no trouble. This isn't necessarily your favorite games, just ones you play anytime and enjoy. Hell you don't even have to enjoy it, and it's just something you do to kill time. Give reasons if you want.

Hate on it all you like, the first few PSX games were amazingly addicting.

I've lost count how many times I've beaten this. At least 6. This shit ate my life in high school.

I forgot about this but the smash series(mostly brawl and melee), I've probably played the most of any game I've ever owned. Game's crazy.

Gitaroo Man, I can just sit and play the same songs once a month and never get bored of it.

Mass Effect, the first one not the second one, just the way you go through it. I dunno, it feels like my choices have more impact in the first one than they do in the second one. Plus I feel like a bigger badass for some reason. I think I've played through it 3 times, half two games halfway done.

I don't know how many times I've gone through the Katamari Games at this point.

Also, like, Golden Sun. I've played through Golden sun at least 20 times.

Metal Gear Solid 3. Think I've beaten it four times, once as a race with my best friend in my basement, both of us playing at once.

Pretty sure I've beaten Phantasy Star 4 at least twelve times.

God Hand, I've beaten at least seven.

Monster Hunter. Anytime, ever.

Also, Star Ocean Second Evolution.

My favorite though, is Hot Shots Golf Open Tee for the PSP. The first one, that came out around when the PSP came out. I can play that anytime ever, and NEVER get bored.

Alpha Centauri also belongs on my list, but I haven't played it in a while because I haven't installed it on this machine yet.

God hand, Super Mario 64, Paper Mario, and Okami.

Must have beaten all of those four times with the exception of Okami, that's twice.

Did you win?

As for me, I don't really tend to have that with games. I guess Contra might count, since if I feel like playing it and so does my bro, that's usually what I go for. The closest, most current example would probably be Valkyria Chronicles. Kept going for smaller and smaller A-ranks as well as just dicking around with troop movements and loadouts.

Anytime, huh?

Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Sports, Ace Attorney series, Dynasty Warriors series, Samurai Warriors series, Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, Street Fighter series (but particularly Street Fighter III: Third Strike and Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV), World of Warcraft, Valkyria Chronicles, Tropico, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, NBA Jam... Probably missing a few.

A bit of a weird one, Super Godzilla. Every time I plug in my Super Nintendo, I play it for at least an hour. Any Street Fighter (including the first), Ghosts 'N' Goblins series, and Elite Beat Agents. Oh, and more recently, Team Fortress 2.

The ultimate pick up and play game...

...Tetris.

Bust-A-Move, Lumines and any version of Panel de Pon are excellent alternatives.

Oh, and Super Smash Bros. and Brawl were fun, but I didn't play either anywhere near as much as I did Melee. Haven't played it in years, though.

Oh! And Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken, 'cause the English translation of the subtitle escapes me right now. The Blazing Sword, I believe. I've played through that from beginning to end a few times.

Really wish they'd release the first GBA one here.

Yeah. Pulled the Raidenovitch trick of Volgin (we were neck and neck until this particular point) it only surprised him for a second, but that was all it took I guess. And was about to fight the boss when he killed the Shagohod.

Though he found the End right away (sniped him early on in the game) and I took a while, don't remember how I caught up.

Was awesome. Also as a rule we had to watch every cut scene. Took all night.
