So, I was thinking of ideas for theme teams, and I though of one based off of the Seven Deadly Sins, of all things. (obviously, one would have to be benched; probably Sloth, most of the time), and I'm looking for a bit of help with ideas. Here's what I've got so far.

Gluttony: Swalot (the thing is nothing but stomach)
Sloth: Slaking (easily the laziest pokemon out there)
Wrath: Primeape (the little fuzzy ball of RAGE)
Envy: Smeargle (He covets the moves that others have, never learning any actual attacks of his own)
Lust: Lopunny (...no comment)

I'm having trouble with Greed and Pride, though. Know of any pokemon that are esspecially greedy or full of themselves?

Meowth loves shiny things and learns Pay Day, so he might work for Greed; not sure if Persian has a similar description. I know there's a Pokemon with a big ego, but I can't remember it off the top of my head. Snorlax could be an alternate for Gluttony, too, or his pre-vo Munchlax. The latter is described as being able to eat enormous amounts of food. Swalot is a solid choice too, though.

When I think Gluttony, I think Snorlax. Though I can see Swalot, a generally underused Pokemon, if you're trying to think outside the box.

Sloth is perfect. Wrath could be interpreted a lot of different ways. You might consider something like a Toxicroak for moves like Revenge and Payback. Sounds wrathlike to me. Envy... You could try finding a Pokemon who knows Covet. That'd be fun. Lopunny for Lust, sure. Ditto would be a fun choice, though, since it can imitate anything.

Not sure about Greed or Pride. For Greed, though, you could find a Pokemon that knows Stockpile. Spit Up or Swallow are the extra moves with that, and it often helps make for a very defensive Pokemon.

Pride: Glameow?

@ Frent: Ditto would probably work better for Envy.

I always pick the water type, my older brother always picks the grass type. But, that's my own fault I suppose. Also, I can't stop playing, there is just so many fun things to do.

I love the Grass-types. When Silver/Gold came out, everyone was like "LOL TOTODILE" and I was all "Fuck you, Chikorita all the way".

If you're like me, you pick Fire because Fire-types in general are harder to find in-game than other types.

Well, I just caught all the Unown just to waste time, I don't know if it does anything or not. And I've chosen water type every game since Blue for unknown reasons.

I usually go with Water-types, too, to be honest. But it was always a tough call between Water and Fire. (Red and Blue, heh.) Then I noticed that Fire-types were hard to find in games, and their power often helped out. So I started picking Fire.

The Infernape/Torterra/Empoleon group, though, was awful tough for me. It's the first group of starters where I love all of them.

Blaziken all the way. I thought a Fire/Fighting type was the coolest thing ever.

Ugh, I'm trying to find that one really awesome image of the pokemon trainer with the Gengar, but I can't find it. (It's the one where she's dropping the pokeball and the Gengar is coming out of it at the same time.)

I always pick Grass in the first game I play of any generation. After that, it's usually Water, followed by Fire. Never been a huge fan of Fire types. Only time I picked Fire over Water was on Diamond where I went with Chimchar. Personally I think the Piplup line is lame.

Wait a second, I remember now.

I started with all 3. Chimchar was the only one that listened to me past the level boundry though.

I usually go with grass starters, but I started with a Chimchar in Platinum because I already had Turtwig in Diamond and decided to try something different. (Torterra was my favorite this generation though)

But my current favorite starter overall is Totodile, oddly enough. I like alligators.

I always choose fire. And I don't like restarting my files after putting hours into catching and leveling Pokemon. So I only start with Water and Grass when I play another game from the generation. Which... has never happened except for emulators.

And once again, the list is updated.
