This contest ends in ten days if anyone was planning on giving it a try:

I have 120 sweepstakes entries in so far!

I've been keeping an eye out for stuff on this game, but me being me, haven't been in areas where it'd come up... until now!

I like the cover system, I like the grittiness, platforming/adventure sections seem cool. Combat looks fun, and I like the traps that can be triggered. I hope they're not too easy to avoid, though. I'd hate to go through the game catching most of them before they get me.

Also, not so much against this game, but in games in general, that thing with her being injured didn't seem to actually effect gameplay. It was just a new walk animation, really. I don't hate things like that in games, because I understand the developers are trying to keep gameplay unhindered too much so it can not be such a drag to get through, but I still feel like they're just missed opportunities.

Like if you fuck up those 'falling' events, you end up battered, broken, and so are actually hindered and require more stealthy approaches to situations since your aim will be horribly off, or you'll just be so close to death that almost anything would kill you. But if you do fine, you're fully able to do whatever just like you were able to before. Gives you more incentive to do it right, doesn't kill you if you do it wrong, and it gives you a slightly experience. Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a thought.

Anyway, I plan on getting this, I think. After Bioshock, anyway.

I will never understand how people get an early copy of the game so early or how it gets leaked to the internet.

I understand like maybe two days before.

But isn't there like two weeks still? Just seems ridiculous.

They work at a distribution center and take a copy home to rip it.

Also Conan plays the game and gets to the part that makes me squirm every time.

Oh God. I laughed so hard.

Conan should be a pre-order bonus.

New kinda goofy trailer:

THIS IS SO CLOSE. NEXT TUESDAY. I CANNOT WAIT.

Reviews are already starting to come in and they are pretty positive. Well, for everything but the multiplayer, but who cares about tacked on multiplayer.

The PC version of this game is using a new tech developed by AMD called TressFX that renders hair more reallistically.

As I said before I managed to score a copy of this game by trading some TF2 hats.

How are these cons, Kotaku? DID YOU FORGET HOW TO WRITE A REVIEW?

It makes me smile looking at video reviews or gameplay videos for this and seeing that, despite a lot more emphasis on combat being added, the exploration, puzzles and acrobatics that make it a Tomb Raider game are still there. I could see myself enjoying it a lot less if it turned out to be just combat and narrative.

So, looks like I might actually get this at launch now. I realized if I pre-order Bioshock Infinite on Green Man Gaming and get the $15 GMG credit, then use that and 20% off voucher on Tomb Raider, it would come out to only to be $21, which seems like a pretty good deal for two of March's biggest games.

Logging back into Steam, since I know this unlocked while I was asleep. See if I can play a bit before I have to go to work.

EDIT: So this is pretty cool so far!

This game is super good. Decided to take a break so I could post that. Also to eat. I figure I should do that. Though I could just go back to playing this.
