So, somehow I missed this over 2 weeks ago, and they released a teaser trailer for the next game in the rebooted Castlevania universe at E3. And it looks BOSS AS HELL.
(if you're interested in playing the first game, I'd advise not watching this, major end-game spoilers.)
No gameplay footage, but TONS of story teasers and questions.
Spoiler for What is a man? A miserable little pile of speculations!:
It looks like we'll be playing through Gabriel's transformation into Dracula, which is PERFECT. The entire "Dracula was once a Belmont" idea that they implemented in the last game, as out of left field as the post-credits stinger seemed at the time, gives a much stronger reason for the Belmont clan to remain vampire hunters (sins of the fathers, etc).
And the white haired guy - a lot of people are screaming "ALUCARD", but quite a few are also thinking it might be Hector, the protag from Curse of Darkness. If so, I'm interested to see if they'll split gameplay between the two, or whether he'll become Drac's minion over the course of the game.
I'm also loving the little details they threw in the trailer (Gabriel not having a reflection in the mirror, his teleportation/first attack having 3 fireballs like the original Dracula, the constant warping over the battlefield).
I'm ridiculously excited for this, and if it plays anything like the previous game I'm going to be having a huge blast. Can't wait.
