My experience from being in shape to very out of shape to somewhere inbetween.

The more out of shape you are the more working out sucks. So as you get to be healthier working out becomes easier and more effortless.

Basically take it slow and work yourself up to whatever you are doing. If you want to start running walk > walk fast/jog > run.

Your body is meant to be active and over time it accommodates to being active.

The start is always the hardest part, which is why most people quit.
