I've been trying to tell myself that the reason some of these exercises feel... well, not "easy", necessarily, but not all that painful, is because of several reasons. To me, those include:
  • Pacing myself enough to where I don't burn out
  • Breathing -- if not regularly, then at least doing it while I exercise
  • Having stretched a bit beforehand
  • Following at least an approximation of the form I should be following

And all of this is, theoretically, how you're supposed to exercise anyway. But that's what I'm wondering -- can regular exercise actually give you a workout and make you sweat without you feeling pain or being sore? I've always had the impression that you'd have to be a little sore or experience pain before you really started doing things right. So for those of you with experience, let me know if I'm overthinking this, or what.
